The 4 Best Side Mirrors for UTVs

UTVs are exceptional trail blazing assemblies of mechanical bliss.

But they have one thing lacking, one thing that makes us feel odd sitting in something with a motor. Where are the side mirrors?

It makes sense not to have the mirrors in a way, but in another way it’s a void that we must fill. Thankfully, there are plenty of great choices to add side mirrors to your UTV.

Let’s look at the 4 Best Side Mirrors for UTVS:

1. Moveland UTV Side View Mirrors, Adjustable Wide Rear Clear View with Shatter-Proof Tempered Glass

Fit: 1.5” – 2”
Best Value Overall

Moveland has made a great, affordable and simple option for UTV owners. They’re one of the best bang for the buck side mirror options with a plastic housing out there.

They even include rubber washers to make sure they fit snugly on your roll bars. Many riders have issues with some slight give, so this was a nice touch!

Just because they’re affordable, doesn’t mean they’re cheap. These are one of the most consistently praised products in this category.  And our best value overall.

2. Xprite Offroad Side Rear View Mirrors

Fit: 1.5″ – 2.5″

Xprite is a well-known company that generally makes quality products.

This is definitely “bells and whistles” option in this guide. A solid aluminum housing, adjustable, with LEDs make this a nice pickup.

Most mirrors have a plastic shell for comparison.

It’ll also fit nearly any UTV as well, with more adjustability than other options. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches.

You will pay more for this though. But, if you want a long term option it’s a great pickup. The LED spotlights on the front of the mirror put out 4500 lumens.

3.Chupacabra Offroad Rear View Side Mirror for UTV Roll Cage Bar Break Away w/Adjustable Arm

Fit: 1.6″ – 2″

The Chupacabra UTV Mirror se is one of the top selling sets in the category.

It hits important points which has resulted in a happy customer base. First, they’re at a good price point. Second, they’re a quality design that people like. Lastly, they’re durable.

Tempered glass with a breakaway design can give you peace of mind that even if they’re subjected to some rough housing, they’ll make it through the clouds in one piece.

There is a lifetime warranty on this product if you should ever have issues. As for fit, it should work for nearly all roll bar cages. The only model you may have to double check on before placing an order is a Polaris Ranger.

They are adjustable to nearly every angle, you’ll just have to use an allen wrench to get them where you want.

4. Kolpin UTV Side Mirror - Pair - 98315

Fit: 1 ⅝” – 2”

Kolpin has a pair of tall ABS mirrors for your UTV. These are segmented in that they have two mirror pieces on each housing.

The ball socket will allow you to adjust these however you’d like.

This is a “break away” design, and they’re on the easier side of installation. To keep these put against your roll cage, you may want to add a piece of inner tube on the inside to craft a makeshift seal. That’s worked for a lot of riders.

They are the biggest mirrors dimension wise in this review. If you want a wide angle, these are it!

Should I get anything else besides a side mirror?

If you want to step it up a notch with your side by side, rear view mirrors can fit on your roll bar as well. This model by BETOOL is very popular.

Another easy mod to add onto your roll bars is a hand grip. This pair does well with the populus.

Why is it better if a side mirror has a break away feature?

Lots of offroaders go on narrow trails, and if you run into things like branches or what have you, you don’t want a rigid mirror. If you had one that didn’t give, it’d just break. So nearly all of these options are made to relent by design.

My side mirrors move slightly, how can I stop them?

Some companies have the foresight to include a solution, some don’t. You can cut a piece of inner tube to create a makeshift gasket. Moveland(our first choice) includes rubber gaskets in the purchase of their mirror set.

We hope this guide has helped inform you on choices for your UTV. Nearly all of these choices are highly regarded, with varying price points.

In our book, the best value overall is the Moveland pair of mirrors. For the higher end, we really like the aluminum housing and LED lights from Xprite.
