Offroading is a good time and a fun little escape that many of us take joy in. It always helps if you are in a good spot, with challenges equal to your current abilities. That’s why we went ahead and did some research for you.
You can find our list of the best offloading destinations in the USA. If you have any little spots you’d like to add, we’re more than welcome to hear about them in the comments.
Alabama
Hawk Pride Mountain Offroad – Tuscumbia, AL
This spot has everything. Easy trails, rock climbs, mud and some tougher obstacles for those with more experience. The owner continues to add to this park and cares about it enough to make constant improvements. You can even camp or bring your RV if you wish. They have an event calendar that’s always filling up and you can check them out here.
Busted Knuckle Off Road Park – Stevenson, AL
Challenging on every level, the busted knuckle park is what we love about off-roading. It’s well maintained, with a variety of trails, has good scenery and a great community of enthusiasts. It’s not open every weekend so make sure to call ahead.
Holly Tree Offroad – Hollytree, AL
The Hollytree is open 7 days a week with over 800 acres. They allow any offroad vehicles, along with horses and camping. You’ll pay 14 a day for dirtbikes or ATVs and 20 a day for 4x4s or rock crawlers. They open at 9 am every day.
Stony Lonesome OHV Park – Bremen, AL
Open year round with over 1400 acres with trails for ATVs, dirt bikes and rock crawlers. They are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Besides that, they open at 8:30 am. You’ll pay 15 bucks per person. Stony Lonesome.
Talladega National Forest – AL
If you’re an overlanding enthusiast, this is the go-to spot in Alabama. There are two main trails that will test your might. 600-1 is the easy and light one, and 600-2 will take someone with a bit more experience. When you’re done you can lay down camp anywhere, except if it’s hunting season.
Alaska
Can’t exactly mention Alaska and 4 wheelin without mentioning the show the Alaska Off-Road Warriors. If you’re looking for something to watch, it was a competition that had five pairs of teammates in an off-road race through Alaska. Kind of an ugly disaster though, with many of the people highlighting some bad stereotypes and destroying trails.
There are no dedicated parks to four-wheelin’ in AK, outside of a few ATV parks, but we did some digging on some spots and have a little list.
Jim Creek – this place has a lot of silt in the mud so take caution for your vehicles sake.
Buffalo Mine Trail -Palmer, AK
A nice spot that is a decent challenge, prepare to clean after. The mud here is thick.
Arizona
Smiley Rock – Jerome, AZ
Located in the sleepy town of Jerome. If you watch the snippets of the video above, it might look like a breeze. Rest assured, this trail is difficult. You should definitely check out the town first before you break a sweat. It’s got a lot of rich history that is worth hearing about.
The Trail runs through Martin Canyon. You should have skid plates. There is a fun little boulder field. The majority of the trail is easy but there are some memorable spots.
Desoto Mine – Prescott
You’ll blow by mining country and into this difficult spot. It is not recommended to go alone. Steep inclines and rough terrain are common. If you have a fresh paint job we do not recommend this! You’ll end up with some nice little shrub scratches.
Castle Hot Springs Road – Morristown, AZ
Within the Hells Canyon Wilderness sits this 36 mile secluded trail. Rated as easy, with beautiful views, and there’s even a lake. This is an extremely easy one, any car(2WD included) could tackle this. If you want a relaxed ride in AZ, this is your go-to.
Apache Trail
Another scenic, easy ride. You’ll zip through the Tonto National Forest and end by Roosevelt Lake.
Bloody Basin Road – Tonto National Forest
Moderate Difficulty, but any standard SUV will be fine. Elevation gain is 4000 feet and distance is 30 miles in total. The route is point-to-point.
Arkansas
Wolf Pen Gap Trail – Ouachita Forest
When you enter the park, take a right and look for a sign that says “Three Sisters Springs”. Nine miles of looped trail. This has a moderate difficulty with sloping declines and sharp inclines. Primarily used for ATVs.
Carter Off-Road Park – Alexander, AR
A fully equipped park full of challenges for everyone. Helmets are not required and don’t bring glass bottles or they’ll toss you out by your neck! It’s open 24/7 365. Acres of trails and mud make any dirt-loving 4 wheel enthusiast salivate.
There are dry trails as well, and it’s always a good idea to have a winch plus a buddy. If you fall in love with it so much that you can’t leave, there are cabins and RV spots. Prices are 15 bux a person + tax on the daily.
Byrd’s Adventure Center – Ozark, AR
4x4s can expect to pay 20 bucks a day to use the premises. They regularly have 4×4 events on their calendar and miles of off-road trails at all difficulty levels. You can explore the state’s largest rock garden.
California
La Grange OHV Regional Park – CA
Formerly a gold dredge, it was converted into an offroad park. Climb hills, tear up the mud or enjoy some short trails. There are a couple motocross tracks as well. It’s open every day year round, and if you feel like firing up the grill after you’re done, they have grills on site. Dirt is not recommended for seasoning.
Hungry Valley Recreation Area
A designated area for California’s Recreation Division. North of LA, situated in the Ridge Basin. There are 19000 acres of dirt, hills, and challenges. All offroading vehicles are welcome. Elevations range from 3k to 6k feet. You’ll want to visit between Spring and Fall for the best weather and rain. There are a wide variety of trails ranging from beginner to difficult. There are areas better suited to experienced off-roaders.
Rowher Flat OHV
60 miles of offroad trails for your amusement. Trails are well taken care of and upgraded periodically. There are some nice hills and challenges at the site. You must buy an adventure pass prior to arriving at the site. There’s a 4×4 training course as well.
San Gabriel Canyon OHV
A dried up river bed in the Angeles National Forest. There are rock piles, mud pits, and other terrains to have a go at. It doesn’t offer any trails, however, and this can be off-putting to some. Water levels are variable and you should check before you go. You’ll pay 8 bucks per vehicle.
Colorado
Ram Off-Road Park – Colorado Springs
86 acres of off-road courses. You can rock crawl, or catch some air. All off-road vehicles are welcome here. They cater to the weekend crowd and are open Friday-Monday at 9 am. Beginner to Intermediate level.
Rampart Range Riding Area – Sedalia
This spot only caters to dirt bikes and ATV’s with 35 miles of trail for you to explore.
Grand Valley OHV Area
Plenty of hill climbs, a double track, and a challenging single track. All vehicle types are allowed and it’s open year round. You don’t have to pay a dime, but you’re not supplied with anything either. So bring what you gotta bring, and have yourself a good time. There is no shade.
Black Bear Road
Jeeps only! A well-known offroading trail that starts from the summit of Red Mountain Pass. It’s open a few months of the year, from late July to early Fall. A sign reads “you don’t have to be crazy to drive this road – but it helps”.
Connecticut
Shenepsit State Forest – CT
Water crossings, miles of dirt roads and beautiful trees. Admittedly, it’s hard to find places in CT to go offroading so you have to do a little digging to find a spot. Here are a few more places you might want to check out.
North Tower Hill Rd. Killingworth, CT
Spruce Ledge Rd. Deep River, CT(muddy after rain)
Filley Rd. Haddam, CT – A dirt road in the Cockaponset State Forest
Jericho Rd. Haddam, CT – Another fun dirt road in the Cockaponset Forest
Delaware
Buzzkill! There is no public land in Delaware where you can go four wheeling legally. There is the Delaware Jeep association, they plan monthly trail rides if you want a bit of fun.
Florida
The Tri-State Off Road Park – Calrksville
Fun for the whole family. Take a sprint through the racetrack and see how your setup fares.
There’s a mud hole, go-cart track, drift car track, RC racing, and a play hole. You’ll regularly see people spinning out their jeeps or trucks in the muddy parts of the park. You can drink, just no glass bottles. It’s 10 bucks for adult and their hours are limited. Open on the first and third Saturdays of the month. If you’re going to bring your ATV or UTV you need a flag on it.
Revolution Off Road – Lake County
ATVs are welcome here with 230 acres of tracks. There’s also fishing, shooting, and archery if that’s your thing. It’s a little pricey but customers seem to enjoy their time there. You’ve got to book ahead.
Clear Creek OHV – Santa Rosa County
A new site to offroaders, this has been open since 2015. 53 miles of trails. They’re mostly sand, but fun. There are a few slower technical areas.
Boggin Bunnell Offroad Park
Mud bogs to test your might, this is a privately owned attraction. Check ahead on facebook to see what the score is as prices and times of availability will change often. Medium level of difficulty when getting through the bogs.
Georgia
Four Wheeling Funny Farm
Great name we must admit. It’s an ATV park. Wooden trails, mud bogs, and water crossings. If that’s not enough, you can tie your fishing pole on your ATV and head out to one of the three ponds. Open daily.
Houston Valley OHV Trails
A state-run trail area, it’s the largest in Georgia. From easy to hard, you’ll find one that fits your capabilities. With 25 miles worth of road to explore, there is something for everyone.
The only vehicles allowed are motorbikes and all-terrain vehicles. That means no four-wheel drive vehicles allowed, unfortunately. Alcohol is not allowed on site.
Moccasin Creek – Blackshear
ATVs will have a blast scorching over 500 acres of land. There are 8 miles of trails with a wide range of mud and skill levels. Submerge yourself in a mud pit or barely dust your tires. It’s up to you. It’s a well run park with plenty of events. Check their calendar online and see if there is something that fits your taste.
Beasley Knob OHV Area
Four-wheelers rejoice, a spot in Georgia that lets you grace their presence. It’s a challenging trail system with nearly 11 miles of driving for enthusiasts. There are rock hill climbs, gravel roads, and scenic stretches. The ascents are steep and so this is best for experienced riders. Open from sunrise to sunset. You’ll pay five bucks per day. Check before you go, if it has rained recently they do sometimes close the trails for safety.
Hawaii
Kahoma Ranch ATV Tour – Lahaina
Four wheeling isn’t really Hawaii’s thing, but we found this tour agency in Lahaina. You can have a little fun on this private dirt road driving your ATV around. It’s a cattle ranch, and as much as you might want to spit up some mud, when you lift your eyes up and see the beach you’ll probably forget why you were even there. Majestic place.
Idaho
Magruder Corridor Scenic Drive – Elk City
122 miles of point-to-point trail. There’s a river you can enjoy and it’s acceptable for drivers of all skill levels. It’s usually not open until July. Untouched beauty is a good way to describe the scenery. Views of the Bitterroot and Clearwater Mountains are engaging. If you take the Magruder road, make sure you have a 4 wheeler. There are rocks, winding and narrow passages.
Hemingway Butte OHV Trailhead
Has both single tracks for motorcycles and wider trailers for other motorized vehicles. Hundreds of miles of roads, including trails of moderate to high difficulty. There are sand washes on the steep rocky terrain.
Mountain Mafia Off-Road Park – Bonners Ferry
Four wheelin’, rock crawling,a mud pit, and free camping are available here. Also, we like the name.
Illinois
Little Egypt Off Road Motorcycle Club – Marion, IL
50 miles of open trails and dirtbike trails. Dirt Bikes, ATVs, and Side-by-sides are allowed. There’s a motocross track as well. There are lots of rocks if you’re looking for a bit of challenge or want to get your weekly mud bath fix.
South Fork Dirt Riders – Christian County
An off-road race track with trails, mud holes, and concerts. Your 4×4 is welcome here.
The Cliffs Insane Terrain Off-Road Park – Marseilles
All offroad vehicles welcome here. Everything but motorcycles needs a flag. Gravel, washes, steep inclines, rocks and lots of fun. This is a well kept privately owned park. You can tell they pay attention to detail and that also means rules are strictly enforced. No tires over 39.5′ are allowed.
Hopkins Park Sand Dunes
Many acres of riding and sand dunes, this is a secluded area where you’re bound to have a good time.
Indiana
Badlands Off Road Park
800 acres of diverse terrain. They have wooded trails, mud, gravel, rocks, sand dunes, and hill climbs. All types of tracks for all types of riders. Alcohol not allowed. Bikes and ATVs are welcome to test out their MX track. If you’re four-wheeling they have a rock quarry to test your skills. New events on the weekly, just check their calendar to see what’s happening.
Interlake State Recreation Area
All vehicles are welcome here. You can go offroading on the 4×4 trails, check out the grassy hills, pits, and man-made lakes. You need a current Indiana ORV sticker to enjoy the trails. Open daily throughout the year. No campground on site.
Kessie Jeep Farm
Jeep enthusiasts will be overjoyed by the Kessie jeep farm. They have monthly jeeping events. Away from the large off-road parks. Thirty acres of trails for drivers of all skill levels. They are not open daily, so make sure and take a look at their calendar for your plans.
Iowa
Gypsum City OHV Park
Located by Fort Dodge. It’s 800 acres in size with over 60 miles of trails for ATV’s off -rad motorcycles, and side by sides. No four wheelers permitted. The park has a motocross track, a kids track and a beginner circle track. It can be a good time for the family. The park is equipped with a campground, fishing ponds, and a grill. Open year round from sunrise to sunset.
Lake View OHV Park
147 acre off-road park that has motocross tracks, side by side courses, an endurocross course and children areas. You’ll need helmets and state tags to ride here. A stream nearby for fishing if you work up an appetite. It’s a nice spot to take your kids.
Bluff Creek ATV Park
If dirtbike riding is your thing, this park has four motocross tracks. They vary by skill level. Twenty miles of trails in total with some steep inclines. It’s open year round. Camping is permitted here.
Kansas
Kansas Rocks Recreation Park – Mapleton
Only open on the weekends. You can bring your rock crawler here for some play. Plenty of trails, water crossings and rock climbing. This isn’t the place to go for mud-holes. It’s an enormous site. There’s something for everyone here. From black diamond trails to green. People enjoy their time here more so when it’s not muddy. So after rain isn’t recommended.
Turtle Creek ORV Area
If you’re a die-hard rock crawler you’ll love Turtle Creek. Steep climbs, plenty of challenging rocks, mud pits, creeks, and general 4×4 trails. All vehicles are allowed at this park. You’ll have the most fun in a Jeep or 4×4.
School Creek ORV Area
287 acres of riding area that is catered to dirt bikes. Restricted to vehicles of 50 inches or less in width. The yearly hare scramble race seems like good fun as well.
Kentucky
Dirty Turtle Offroad Park – Bedford, KY
Nearly three hundred acres of offroading land in Bedford. All offroading vehicles are welcomed at the park. Their trail system has difficulties suited for all riders. It’s a private park owned by a very passionate family that resurrected it after hearing about its initial closing. They put a lot of work in and it now has a trail system that is accommodating of any vehicle type. Get out of the rat race for a day and head down the woody trails, then go splash some mud around at dirty turtle. They’re open every day at 9 am.
Turkey Bay Off Highway Vehicle Area – Murray, KY
Hop in your jeep and pull that hard-shell off. Designated OHV trails and self-service camping await. There are 100 miles of primary, secondary and tertiary trails for any level rider. You are welcome in turkey bay. With wooded beautiful trails that offer lots of fun, you’ll find yourself lost in the flow of four wheeling enlightenment. What you won’t end up finding, is a lighter wallet. They have reasonable prices and you can camp there if one day wasn’t enough.
Wildcat Off-Road Park – East Bernstadt, KY
Family owned and operated, we must say they’re doing a great job by the looks of it. With over 2000 acres tucked away from city life, this is an off-road paradise. Trails are open 24 hours a day seven days a week. Full day prices for adults are 16 bucks, 9 bucks for a kid. Lots of trails to choose from and a general store on site. The views add to the atmosphere and will certainly make for some great pictures. The trails are more catered to dirt bikes and ATVs but your jeep will be able to make its way.
Louisiana
Muddy Bottoms ATV and Recreation Park – Sarepta
5000 Acres full of trails, bogs, and tracks. They cater to ATVs and have plenty of mud. A wench is recommended to help you free if you happen to get stuck in any of the deep holes. Clean off after in their shower house. They are open on weekends.
Catahoula Recreation – Sicily Island, LA
A privately owned off-roading recreation area that supports side by sides, Jeeps, Trucks, and Dirt Bikes. It’s only open by appointment unless you manage to get there on an event day. Lots of trails, hills, and ravines.
Maine
Rocky Mountain Terrain Park – Carthage, ME
All vehicle types are welcome here, this park offers more than 700 acres of trails for you to lose yourself on. There are mud bogs, rock crawling and a track for the youngsters. They plan on continually improving the park, eventually adding some nice hill climbs. There are camping sites with showers and restrooms.
Maryland
There aren’t many options for offroading in Maryland but we did find one!
Piney Mountain ORV Trail
About two miles of trail that starts on Sang Run Cranesville Road and ends at the intersection of the Piney Mountain Road and an unnamed dirt road. Two and four-wheel vehicles are allowed to use it anytime except for December 15th through March 15th. Four trails in total are made specifically for offroading.

The Wick 338 – Southwick, MA
A great course for motorcycle racing. It’s been around for over 42 years.
Michigan
Bundy Hill Off Road Recreation LLC – Jerome, MI
Over 300 acres of trails and terrain for all off-road vehicles. It’s a privately owned area with hills, rocks, climbs and good times. Trails of all difficulty levels from green, blue, blacks, and reds. Flags are required for open wheeling. Satisfied customers rave about the friendly staff.
Rocks and Valleys Off-Road Park – Harrison,MI
A 200 acre off-road park with hills, rocks, mud, and many trails for drivers of all skill levels. Customers are thrilled with the layout and the one-way trails. If you have a rock crawler, there is some challenging terrain for you to get your kick with. You can camp at the park. They’re open weekends and sometimes weekdays. Call ahead to see as scheduling varies.
Minnesota
Iron Range Off-Highway Vehicle State Recreation Area – Gilbert, MN
Open to all vehicle types, you can get muddy or enjoy various climbs and even jumps if you’re on a dirt bike. The tabletop rock crawl makes for a good challenge. It has a little bit of everything from challenging terrain to casual trails. Rocks, water, mud, narrow trails, and steep hills.
A nice thing about this off-road park is that is has a wash station to get that mud off your vehicle when you’re done for the day.
Tri-County Off-Roading park – Dundas, MN
A smaller facility at 25 acres, there are trails from relaxed level cruises to hill climbs in a former gravel pit. It has a great beginners atmosphere and skill level.
Freedom Ridge – Atwater, MN
Camping, summer events, and offroading. There’s a mix of rock crawls and trails with hills. Some mud as well. Owned by a friendly family. ATVs and dirt bikes are not allowed currently.
Mississippi
Wild Country Offroad – Leakesville, MS
The perfect place to bring your ATV or UHV to get muddy. There are some bogs and mud pits here that can be a fun challenge. With plenty of water to splash around. Two sandbars, nice trails and 100 acres of good times. Wash station? You betcha! There are events here occasionally and it’s best to check their Facebook page to see what’s going on.
Red Creek Off road – George County, MS
4×4 and Off-Road Trails in Southern Mississippi. Bring any off-road vehicle. Miles of sandy trails and deep mud. They are only open on weekends and if you want to camp the night it’s 5 bucks a person.
Missouri
Southern Missouri Off-Road Ranch
Nearly 1000 acres of good trails, marked well. The difficulty of trails varies, and there is something for everyone. The site includes a cafe and camping grounds, or a cabin if you’re a fancy pants. Bring your jeep or rock bouncer. Great people, great atmosphere.
Montana
Ah Nei Recreation Area – Shepherd, MT
Fifty miles, 1062 acres of OHV trail with loops. Open from 7 am to 9 pm. Suited for amateurs with most of the trails being relatively flat terrain. With so much room, everyone can have their own space.
Nebraska
Bessey Recreation Complex – NE
Options for offroading in Nebraska are far from plentiful but this recreation complex allows off-road vehicles and has some trails for you to enjoy.
Nevada
Vore Adrenaline Compound – Boulder City, NV
Stocked to the brim with options from racing to offroading. Take a desert tour or behind a Polaris RZR. There are many options to choose from, a great staff and the compound is awesome. There’s even a drifting course if you want to learn how to do that.
This isn’t the typical drive your truck through mud off-road setup. Nope, you go there and pay a fee for whatever experience you want. Then you use their equipment. It’s a pretty sweet concept that seems to be working out well, but you’ll pay considerably more than you would if it were your own vehicle. A Vegas-style attraction!
New Hampshire
Mountain Mud Terrain Park – Warren, NH
63 Acres with 12 miles of trails ranging from all skill levels. They’re situated in the White Mountain National Forest. Mud bog, jumps, steep hills and rock crawling are some of the challenges you will get to enjoy. They are constantly improving this plot and care about the quality of the park. They have plans to add 2 race hills in the near future. Trails are all difficulty types. Competitions and events held from time to time. Give them a call to see if they have anything going on.
New Jersey
Pine Barrens Trail – NJ
Keep in mind, no ATVs and your vehicle must be street legal to have some fun in the Pine Barrens. You have to stay on state designated roads, offroading for the sake of offroading here is frowned upon. There are over 500 miles of unpaved roads to choose from, though. I’m sure you can stumble upon an obstacle that requires you to take a less beaten path that might have some rocks on it.
New Mexico
End of Southern
Unofficial offroading for all types of vehicles. A big sand dune with a canyon. Sandy, rocky and hilly. Just north of the Route 66 Casino. Test your skills and your 4×4.
New York
Mettowee Offroad – Whitehall, NY
250 acres of great trails. These range in all difficulty levels, from easy to oh my god. Any 4 x 4 will do. Mud, hills, rocks, and thrills. Okay, they don’t have much to offer for rock crawlers but we wanted to rhyme.
North Carolina
North Carolina Motorsports Park – Henderson, NC
This park caters to motocross and dirtbike enthusiasts. Family owned and operated it has over 180 acres of wooded terrain. There are 4 tracks for riders of varying skill levels. Open 7 days a week from 10 till 5.
Patriot Mtn Offroad Park – Sugar Grove, NC
You have to purchase a private yearly membership to enjoy this park. They have numerous trails inteded for jeeps and 4wd vehicles. Discounted services for LEOs and Vets.
North Dakota
Vinnie’s Mud Bog – Richland County, North Dakota
I like mud, so do you, so does Vinnie so that’s cool. Get down and dirty in this slurry mud bog. It’s simple, but it aint easy. Drivers love this place.
Ohio
Southington Offroad – Garrettsville, OH
Sitting on over 1500 acres. They have trails ranging from mild to wild with some obstacles built in that will prove a challenge for even the most experienced riders. They classify themselves as a family friendly park. There is a campground, bathhouse, and a pavilion. If you want to grab a bite to eat for lunch, check out their cabin. Or if you want to drop off your kids and go wild, there’s a playground. The terrain includes mud, rocks, sand and hilly areas. They’re open to the public on scheduled weekends only and they constantly have events going on so make sure to check the calendar. Jeeps/4×4’s are always welcome.
Phoenix Off-Road Park
Over a thousand acres and seventy miles of trails tailored for off-roaders. They cater to ATV/UTV and 4x4s. There will be a trail to fit your needs. Only open for events, check the schedule. Large camping area available as well.
Oklahoma
Appalachia Bay Recreation Area – Shady Grove, OK
Sand, trails, and an ATV-ers paradise. Also friendly for four-wheelers and all ORVs. You’ll only pay 5 bucks a day, can’t beat that.
Oregon
Browns Camp OHV – Tillamook County, Oregon
A nice trail system for beginners. People enjoy riding their dirtbikes and bringing their kids. Most trails are looped. You can bring your ATV as well. If you want to chill out in the woods and do some light riding, this is a good spot. If you’re looking for a technical or challenging ride, you might want to find something else.
Pennsylvania
Lost Trails – Dunmore, PA
A newish 2000 + acre park that opened in 2011. Lost Trails is welcoming of ATVs, UTVs, and Dirt Bike lovers. Hit the mountain trails that are full of scenic views. There are technical trails, inclines and some rocks. Rock crawls, mudding and a few lazy trails that take you through the mountainside.

Rhode Island
MX691 Motocross and ATV track and Trails – Tiverton, RI
A nice full motocross track to ride at. ATVs also welcome, and there are a few trails.
Family friendly atmosphere if you’re looking for a weekend getaway. Check the schedule before going, they are not always open.
South Carolina
Gulches Off Road Vehicle Park – Waterloo, SC
Open weekends, all types of offroading vehicles are welcome. Trails for drivers of all skill levels. From tiny hills to steep climbs or gradual inclines. There are even some rock gardens. Staff consistently gets high praises from customers.
South Dakota
Black Hills National Forest – Trail System
Over 600 miles of trails for ATV, UTV, and other off-road vehicles. 90 miles of single track trails for motorcycles. 148 miles of trails open to all vehicles. Bring a map, and get yourself dirty in the scenic beauty of the forest.
Tennessee
Wooly’s Off Road – Lynnville, TN
Open every weekend at 8. Not the best spot for dirt bikes, but a good time if you have a 4 wheeler. Drive up some steep inclines or displace some rocks. There are frequent rains in the area so expect a challenge and muddy trails. The trails are of high acclaim and there are showers on site if you end up camping.
Texas
Hidden Falls Adventure Park – Marble Falls, TX
Open Thurs-Sundays. A nice trail park for four wheelin’, ATV/UTVs or dirtbikes. 2100 acres in total. Plenty of trails and room. All skill levels catered to.
Utah
Hells Revenge 4×4 – Moab, Utah
Beautiful trail with a great view of the valley. You can drive up to situations that will make your palms sweat as the video demonstrates. Lots of sand as well. Not recommended for ATVs and only experienced drivers should attempt this. The trail is 6.5 miles total.
Vermont
Sucker Pond – VT
Off the beaten path. A nice muddy trail that can prove to be quite difficult. Make sure you have a friend with you, and a winch. Lots of tight spaces and flowing water at times, better suited for experienced riders.
The Southern Vermont Offroad Association has helped clean up trails leading to Sucker Pond. So shout out to them.
Virginia
Potts Mountain Jeep Trail – Craig County, Virginia
Get into the big leagues, this trail aint’ easy. A lifted jeep will do best. There are many obstacles. It’s surrounded by wilderness and you’ll definitely need a friend to save your butt if you can’t get past something.
Washington
Walker Valley ORV – Mt Vernon, WA
Do not head to this park without a Washington State Discover Pass, it is required.
Dedicated trails for ATVs, 4x4s, and motorcycles are set aside at Walker Valley. Only 10 miles of 4×4 trails but they’re pretty darn good. Inclines, obstacles and densely wooded forest surround you. There’s good mud, rocks, and foliage. Some of the rocky hill climbs are quite difficult.
West Virginia
Burning Rock Off-Road Park – Raleigh County, WV
Expansive park with over a hundred miles of trails. Dirt bikes and ATVs, Side by Sides, UTVs and dirt bikes are welcome here. Rails of varying difficulties. Rocky hill climbs and mud. There’s even zip lining.
Buffalo Mountain Trailhead, Mingo County, WV
500 miles of trail, making it the second largest off-highway trail in the world. Grab your gps.
Wisconsin
Barron County ATV playground – Almena, WI
30 acres of family-friendly atmosphere, catering to beginners. Kids love it and it’s challenging enough to not bore anyone. Take your ATV through the woods for a fun bumpy ride.
Wyoming
Morrison Jeep Trail – Powell, Wyoming
Not for beginners! But, what a beautiful view. Altitude, terrain and narrow roads at times can make this ascent above novice level. There are some nice rocky obstacles along the way that every rider will enjoy.
