The 5 Best ATV Dump Carts

If you use your ATV for light work around your property, getting a dump cart will help make it a breeze!

Cleaning up yard work or doing chores shouldn’t be an awkward balancing act, and having a cart solves those problems and saves something we’d all like to keep in good shape, our back.

Finding the right one for you and your usage is what matters.

Let’s take a look at the 5 best ATV dump carts available:

1. Gorilla Carts GOR6PS Heavy-Duty Poly Yard Dump Cart with 2-In-1 Convertible Handle

Load Rating: 1200 lbs

Affordable, functional, at a great price? We try to remain objective in our reviews, but for this category we recommend you just get this.

That’s how much better it is than the competition.

This Gorilla cart can be pulled by hand or towed, and the dumping mechanism just works.

The Agri-Fab cart featured below is no slouch and they’re in the same price range. But, this cart has the advantage of being able to hold more weight and its dual functionality setting it apart. On top of that, there is no option with as many glowing reviews from happy customers.

This is by far our favorite choice, and we hope you agree.

2. Agri-Fab 45-0101 750-Pound Max Utility Tow Behind Dump Cart

Load Rating: 750 lbs

This Agri-Fab tow behind dump cart is our first featured, and that’s for one main reason. It has a great price point while being made of steel.

ATV dump carts are generally pretty expensive, and this along with the Gorilla cart are in a great value tier.

It has a lower load rating than anything on this guide, but if you’re using this for hauling things under 750 lbs then you don’t need those big heavy-duty options regardless. If you are looking for the higher load rated choices, we feature them below.

This is a solid steel bucket with a powder coated surface to help it stand up to the elements. There’s even a foot release to dump your contents easily. This mounts to your ATV/Lawnmower with a universal hitch.

By the way, if you’re looking for another light duty option, Craftsman made a poly bucket style that is in the same price range but it hauls quite a bit less at 350 lbs.

3. Yutrax Trail Warrior X2 Heavy Duty UTV/ATV Trailer – for Off-Road Use

Load Rating: 1250 lbs

Yutrax has made the Trail Warrior! It sounds dangerous and the black/red coloring makes us respect it.

This has flotation tires and a high fence for hauling solid materials.

They’ve used a lot of steel material here, and for that reason it’s pretty heavy at 142 lbs. A great thing about the design is those red side rails you see are removable which will save you some weight.

The only complaint customers have had is the poor quality of packaging. The actual product itself is top notch. Yutrax also sells a 4 wheel version of this design that you can check out here.

4. MotoAlliance Impact Implements ATV/UTV Heavy Duty Utility Cargo Trailer

Load Rating: 1500 lbs

Impact Implements ATV dump cart has all the trappings to be a multi-purpose cart.

The high sided gating is a nice touch. Things can get piled up a bit high so this helps.

It has the quick release latch for dumping. The tub is made of poly and holds up to 15 cubic feet. The tires are 18 inches, which is bigger than most carts and the swivel hitch helps for mobility.

For what you get, this is a great price. You will have to assemble it though. The frame is made out of steel tubing, so it should last you a long time.

Something to note is that it’s pretty heavy at 120 lbs. But with that comes a 1500 lb load rating and a 1-year warranty. Overall this is a good value.

It’s not too expensive and for anyone planning to haul heavy things the warranty gives you some peace of mind. You’ll have a year to see if it can stand up to some good usage.

5. Polar Trailer Dump Cart

Load Rating: 1200 lbs

The Polar Trailer Tipper dump cart has a unique long bodied design. Its made of a steel frame and poly tub.

This is perfect for anyone hauling things of awkward shapes that might not fit in a conventional cart. Or if you need a lot of volume.

It has 18 inch tires and a quick release latch when you need to get rid of things. The one drawback to its elongated frame is that things are a bit harder to dump. Because the lid of this poly tub touches the ground at an angle that isn’t the best for fully emptying it.

If you have odd shaped items or need more space it’s a great choice. But for dirt movers or owners who could see this getting frustrating we recommend something else. They also have a very popular tandem axle version that you may want to check out.

Installing an ATV Trailer Hitch for you Dump Cart

If you were looking at a dump cart that uses a ball hitch, you might need to install a trailer hitch on your ATV.

That process is pretty simple with most ATV setups and should take you under an hour with a socket or wrench. You can see how it’s done in the video below for a stock ATV trailer hitch.

Hauling stuff is messy and it can be frustrating. So getting a quality dump cart can be a nice addition to your garage. When we looked at the price and overall value on these carts, one model stood out. The Gorilla Cart just hit a price point that puts it in a league of it’s own and it can haul up to 1200 lbs.

That’s not to say the others are slouches, they aren’t. There are plenty of heavy duty models on this list as well. If you pick something from here let us know how it goes, we love hearing from our readers and we hope to have helped you make a choice.

Good luck on your search!
